Bruins for Recovery Group Me Guidelines
Please join our GroupMe to stay the most* up to date on events and happenings with members!
Bruins for Recovery utilizes the app, Group Me, to keep students (past and present) in the recovery community connected. All groups should adhere to the Bruins for Recovery Group Guidelines and Mission Statement. Anyone who violates the guidelines of any group will be privately messaged by the President and Vice President as their first and only warning. Persistent posts unrelated to guidelines of a particular group may cause you to be removed. Any comments or concerns should be directed to Bruins for Recovery via email.
We currently have four Group Me groups. If you would like to be added to the B4R Group Me, please contact us.
Below are the descriptions of each group and any additional guidelines:
B4R Support: A group for sober support and updates on current happenings in the recovery community.
(a) This group should always follow the Group Guidelines and Mission Statement
(b) Topics discussed here should always relate to recovery, being a student, and/or sober events around campus
(c) If a conversation develops between two members, each member will be privately messaged by President or Vice President to take the conversation elsewhere to avoid spamming other members.
B4R Business: Bruins for Recovery's professional group for students who attend business meetings and board members. Students who cannot attend business meetings, but would like to be involved in the growth of B4R may join.
B4R Gratitude: A group for you to post 10 things you are grateful for with other students everyday. Gratitude lists are a great way to keep your thoughts positive.
B4R Rule 62: A lighthearted group for those who like to discuss the dark humor of recovery (making light of subjects usually considered serious in recovery). It is a group intended to give students a laugh.
